  • Dr. Erin Michalak received the 2019 Douglas Utting Prize. The prestigious award is made annually to a person or group, working in Canada, which has made a major contribution to promoting the awareness of depression and/or suicide and/or to advancing the understanding and treatment of depression.   • Dr. Jason Neva (PI: Dr. Lara Boyd) has accepted a faculty position with the School of Kinesiology and Physical Activity Sciences at the University of Montreal.
  • Kaitlin Sullivan (PI: Dr. Mark Cembrowski) received a Royal Canadian Legion Scholarship for her work in understanding PTSD.
  • Congratulations to our members who are faculty in the Department of Psychology; UBC’s Department of Psychology was ranked first in Canada by Maclean’s Magazine.
